Sub saharan Africa nationals who are:

  • Ordinarily resident in a sub-Saharan African country
  • Have a first degree from a recognised university or an a professional qualification such as ACCA
  • Be at least 25 years old and not older than 50 years old at the time of starting the programme
  • Have at least 2 years full-time work experience
  • Not previously have studied an Edinburgh Business School course
  • Not be in a position to pay for the course from your own resources
  • Not already have a master’s level business qualification
  • Not be studying towards another qualification
  • Have an operational internet connection
  • Not have previously applied for the scholarship more than twice

Scholarship Criteria:
The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of one or more of the following:

  • Demonstrated academic ability
  • Reasons for choosing to do this course at this university
  • Personal qualities of the applicant
  • Evidence of the candidate’s commitment to their country’s future
  • Financial need Applications
  • Clear plan for how the MBA will benefit the local community and country within which they reside
  • Academic merit and the benefits to the student
  • Increase international representation of the school
